So you've never read a Swamp-Thing book before, huh? There's no time to waste, come here and now for Swamp-Thing recommendations with Amazon links!

So you want to read Swamp-Thing. Well there's no time to waste! Here are the best Swamp-Thing books (In my opinion and most others, too.):

If you want to start from the very beginning you can go here, to:

Roots of the Swamp-Thing, by Lein Wein, Bernie Wrightson and Nestor P. Redondo. This book collects the first 13 issues of the Swamp-Thing run written by its original creator, as well as House of Secrets #92, the first appearance of Swamp-Thing. It is very 1970's, but still, in my opinion outside of Dr. Strange, some of the best of 70's comics. This book can be found at http://www.amazon.com/Roots-Swamp-Thing-Vol-1/dp/1401232876

Saga of the Swamp-Thing Book One by Alan Moore, Stephen Bissette and John Totleben. This book truly redefined Swamp-Thing and made him more than a superhero, but remnants of a man in a monsters body. Man turned into a monster, or plant thinking he was a man? With the art often touching close to horror, it fits absolutely terrific in the book. Alan Moore is one of the most well known writers of comics, and he is very well deserved of that title. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1401220835/r...01&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop

Saga of the Swamp-Thing Book Four by Alan Moore, Stephen Bissette and Stan Wotch. The fourth volume of Alan Moore's run on Swamp-Thing. Many consider this to be the peak of his run, and as much as I think you should do so, I don't think everyone has money for all six books. So I just put the best one in my opinion on here. This book introduces other darker DC characters into the story, like Deadman, Etrigan and the first appearance of John Constantine, a very important character in later books of DC Vertigo. The antagonist is basically a bunch of witchdoctors trying to destroy Heaven. Yeah. Go read it. http://www.amazon.com/Saga-Swamp-Thing-Book-F..._14_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0KJGEZ4BWAYT3Q9EWCXZ

New 52 Swamp-Thing Volume 1: Raise Them Bones by Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette A reboot of the Swamp-Thing. Kind of. It references an event before the New 52 even happened, but you don't really need to know about it. Anyway, it's basically Alec Holland wanting to be left alone, but the Green needs him to be Swamp-Thing, before everything goes out of control. He refuses until one deep and true thing requires him to become Swamp-Thing. I put this on here even if many people like Volume 4 more once Charles Soule takes over, but I still really enjoy this story and the entire New 52 run. So read this and decide if you want more of it. You can start from the N52, yes but I highly recommend the other books. http://www.amazon.com/Swamp-Thing-Vol-Raise-B...14_11?ie=UTF8&refRID=1ZRH0AV2AP25CFRCVSYS

I think that's it for me! If you guys think I missed anything, please comment what your favorite Swamp-Thing runs are! I'm off!
