Star Wars arcade machine now available for preorder
Arcade1Up on Thursday said it launched presales for the Star Wars Home Arcade Game through GameStop. The machine, which stands just over 5 feet tall, features original artwork, a light-up marquee, a full-color 17-inch display and dual speakers. The Star Wars Home Arcade Game includes original arcade versions of classic games based on A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi.

According to a new report, EA's open-world Star Wars game, in development following the closure of Visceral Games, has also been canceled. Kotaku has reported this game's alleged cancellation. According to Kotaku, this Star Wars game was the one announced following Visceral Games' closure in 2017, which came alongside the cancellation of Amy Hennig's game in production at the studio. Development resources at the time shifted from Visceral's title, reportedly codenamed Ragtag, to this new, now reportedly canceled title.

Obsidian devs recreate Star Wars Mos Eisley spaceport in Unreal Engine 4
Unreal Engine 4 recreations are nothing new, however the Star Wars Mos Eisley spaceport project—which comes courtesy of a group of Obsidian developers—is pretty impressive. Headed by Jason Lewis, a total of 17 devs of varying rank are using the project to learn more about the engine, but of course being self-confessed “super Star Wars nerds” makes the undertaking that bit easier.
