    I smile at anyone who is running and they smile back, but it's always a bit awkward haha.

      I just experienced the awkwardness this morning! I ran into the same ladies and dog, gave them the good old "morning". I saw them again later in the path (this never happens), I didn't know what to do, so gave an awkward smile. They didn't smile back. :/
