What are your current or complete Raspberry Pi based projects?

Just curious what everyone here is up to.

I've been finalizing a garage door opener using WebIOPi. It currently can toggle the door and turn an AC circuit on and off. Just need to add a door position sensor and a temperature sensor and it'll be done.

One of the great things about the Raspberry Pi is the fact that it is a highly versatile device.
I have just one Pi (B+) right now so I keep a couple different SD cards around to quickly switch it to the function I currently desire.

Right now I have it connected to my TV running OSMC (Open Source Media Center) which I use to watch streaming videos from various services.

    So far,

    * One RPi is a print server for a couple of USB printers that I have. Wireless, connects to the local network and provides printing to a laster and inkjet printer CUPS is a wonderful app and works great with both macs

    * I have another RPi2 that is my headless DVD ripper. Pop in a DVD, it rips and encodes the DVD and copies it to a local network share being served from my QNAP. The QNAP has Plex, so it serves the movies to the Roku's in the house

Have another one somewhere in a drawer that I was putting together as a personal wireless network router with random-generating SSID and password being displayed on a 2x16 LCD display. Still need to see if I have the code for that....

    Anyway, great boxes. Love them.

Nothing crazy cool. However, my son's iPod Touch + Speaker Dock decided to quit working a few months ago. I replaced it with a mini BT speaker and R-Pi B+. When the B+ is powered up, VLC or MPlayer (can't remember which one TBH) will automatically play a playlist of MP3s, which consists of a few nature sounds, created by MyNoise.net. Works really well and is extremely reliable.

I want to get another one for hosting a small Wordpress site out of my home but I haven't really had the time to do anything like that yet. Maybe one day . . .

I'm about to turn my Pi into a web-controlled jukebox for my wife's bakery. She hosts parties there and has been using a bluetooth speaker and Pandora up 'til now, but if she uses the computer or it gets an update, the sound starts cutting out. So I'm hoping to set the Pi up and just connect it with a standard stereo cable to the speaker.

That'll be a fun project! Are you thinking of using a DAC for the audio?

No, just mpd and mp3 files, probably.

Just a media centre. It's pretty awesome. I wanted something that could play iview (Australian ABC). I am planning on getting one as a router and VPN client.
