Racial slurs written on dorm room boards of black Air Force Academy cadet candidates
Racial slurs were written on the dormitory message boards of five black cadet candidates at the Air Force Academy Preparatory School earlier this week. Lt. Col. Allen Herritage, director of public affairs for the academy, said the slurs were discovered Monday. One cadet candidate’s mother posted a photo on her Facebook page Wednesday that shows the words “go home n*****r” written on the white board outside her son’s room.

Norwegian Cruise Line cancels 'neo-nazi' conference after public pressure
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has bowed to pressure and cancelled a booking for a “neo-nazi” conference which was set to take place on one of its ships. Rebel Media, a far-right group based in Canada, had planned to hold a week-long meeting on-board a NCL Caribbean Cruise. The trip was scheduled to leave in November from Miami and would take in Honduras, Belize, and Mexico.

City of Syracuse denies permit for 'America First' rally
The city of Syracuse has denied a permit requested by ACT for America to hold a rally next month to support President Donald Trump's immigration, refugee and border policies, according to a spokesman for the mayor's office. ACT for America, which has been labeled an extremist anti-Muslim group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that tracks hate groups, says it will hold "America First" rallies across the country on Sept. 9, including one in Syracuse. Scott Presler, lead activism strategist for ACT for America, told Syracuse.com in June that the group is not anti-Muslim.
