/t/earthporn is the place to post awesome, high quality, pictures of our home planet
I don't know how, but /t/earthporn was unclaimed as of this morning. So now I claimed it, and am working on building it up. Come by and join! I'll try to post pictures in there regularly, but most of them will not be my own. If you have an awesome gallery of pictures from places you've traveled, feel free to post them there.
As far as the name of the tribe goes, I want to make clear that there is no actual pornography allowed in this tribe. How many fellow members object to having "porn" be in the name? Since I claimed the tribe instead of creating it, I am not able to change it's name. But I am willing to create a "doppelganger" tribe that has the same content with a milder name. Something like... earthsnapz? If enough members (tribespeople?) are interested, I'll make it.
As far as other tribes for high quality pics, /t/spaceporn already exists, but there's plenty of potential for others to be created. Anyone up to the task?

Although I won't force thise view on others, I always hated the use of -porn for topic appreciation subreddits, and I would much prefer that they not be carried over here. However, I'm not sure what should replace that...
Could always just make it "EarthPics" and the like. Other than that, Vistas, maybe?
I completely agree with abandoning the -porn suffix, though. For such awesome interests, it shouldn't be so uncomfortable to talk about with family and friends. I won't be subscribing to EarthPorn or SpacePorn or the like. If that network carries over to Snapzu, I'm afraid it's a horrible missed opportunity.
As long as you avoid the forced pixel size that always pissed me off at reddit. They even had a bot that automaticallly deleted your post if you didn't follow their very square rules.
Come by the tribe, you'll see that this is not forced there. I'm not a fan of it either.
I went in and saw that. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere. I liked it!
Gonna make a top-level comment to let everyone know that /t/EarthPics is officially a thing, as well as /t/SpacePics, /t/BotanyPics, and /t/WeatherPics! We're looking at starting a Pics Coalition, possibly under /t/pics, similar to the SFWPorn network on reddit, but less... weirdly titled.
