Guardians 2: Mary Poppins Line Wasn't in the Script

James Gunn has revealed that the classic Mary Poppins line wasn’t part of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. script. The first film, of course, told the story about a group of outlaws including Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) and Groot (voice of Vin Diesel) formed a unique bond to essentially become a family, albeit a very dysfunctional one. Vol. 2 continued the family theme, with Peter encountering his long-lost father, Ego (Kurt Russell), who may not be all that he seems.

Avengers: Infinity War will be the final chapter for several characters

Avengers: Infinity War will be a major turning point in the MCU, make no mistake. In a way, it's a farewell to the old guard and an ushering in of the new class - the Black Panthers and Captain Marvels - though whether that actually involved a concrete farewell to any of the franchise's beloved characters was yet to be determined. That is until JoBlo breached the topic with Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige, who responded with a simple: "Yes".

Mads Mikkelsen Would Play Doctor Doom in Upcoming Solo Film

Before he signed up for the role of Kaecilius in Doctor Strange, Mads Mikkelsen had already had his brush with casting for a Marvel Comics-related property. That property was the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot that is largely remembered as a critical flop. Mikkelsen tried out for a role in the film, but quickly realized it wasn’t for him. Now, with films like Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story under his belt, Mikkelsen has revealed that he would give the Fantastic Four another shot… if he could play Doctor Doom.

Review: 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Is A Conventional Yet Incredibly Enjoyable Superhero Film

Spider-Man fans have had a rough go of it at the theater. We’ve gotten emo Spider-Man from the Sam Raimi films and hipster Spider-Man from Marc Webb’s, but never “true” Spider-Man. Then Tom Holland stole the show in Captain America Civil War and webheads everywhere rejoiced. They had finally done it; they brought Peter Parker to life. And so Homecoming quickly became one of the most anticipated superhero movies in...

Why Avengers 4 Doesn't Have A Title Yet, According To Kevin Feige

Following one year after Joe and Anthony Russo's The Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios' upcoming The Avengers 4 is different from every other upcoming project in the franchise in one specific way: it's the only one without a title. While the project was originally called The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, that name was taken away last year when it was revealed that it wasn't really an accurate description of the blockbuster.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Climbs To $129M+ Through Monday

Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming nabbed $12.3M yesterday, and while the Monday records in July are a challenge to climb given how they’ve been propped by the Independence Day holiday, that’s a notable number. Given how it’s largely a discount ticket day at cinemas throughout the country, today should be even bigger for Homecoming. Through four days at the domestic B.O., the Jon Watts movie counts $129.3M.

A creepy new look at Pennywise the Clown's aged costume from Stephen King's 'It'

Imagine this staring at you from inside the concrete chamber of a storm drain. We’ve already gotten a close-up of Pennywise the Clown from the new film version of Stephen King’s It (out Sept. 8, 2017), but here we step back for a fuller view of the creature that likes to take the form of a leering, sinister clown. Bill Skarsgård is playing the ageless, supernatural beast who feeds on the fears of children, and it’s clear director Andy Muschietti (Mama) is steering away from the modern, baggy-suited, rainbow-hued clown for something a bit more… archaic.
