A woman has been jailed for four months after pleading guilty to inciting the killing of her boyfriend, who was murdered by her former partner. Iraqi social media star and model Tara Fares has been shot dead in Baghdad, security officials confirmed to CNN. The death of Fares and other recent killings prompted Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to order an investigation on Friday. The father and son who killed their neighbor in a fight over trash have been re-arrested after a judge increased their bond to $250,000. "Both John and Michael Miller’s bonds were originally set at $25,000 each by a Justice of the Peace," said Abilene Police Chief Stan Standridge. "They then bonded out immediately, which was a great concern to both myself and our community. Taylor County District Attorney, Jim Hicks, filed a Motion of Insufficiency of Bond this afternoon to address the Department and public’s concern."

For the seventh time, the death penalty trial for a Louisville man charged with killing 15-year-old Gregory Holt in 2012 has been postponed – this time because a judge decided his attorneys have a conflict of interest. James Mallory’s trial was supposed to begin Friday in the slaying of the teen, who is believed to have been an unintended target when he was shot in his home about six and a half years ago. But Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Susan Schultz Gibson ruled Tuesday that Mallory’s attorneys for the last three years have a conflict of interest and she must find him new representation.

A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder in the killing of a former Iowa State University student-athlete who was found dead Monday at an Ames, Iowa, golf course, police said. Collin Daniel Richards, who authorities said has no known address, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Celia Barquin Arozamena, Ames police said late Monday night.

A Tulsa man has died in prison seven months into serving a life sentence for killing his Lebanese neighbor in what prosecutors said was a hate crime. Stanley Vernon Majors, 63, died in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. He was found dead in his bed in the maximum-security prison's infirmary. A man has appeared in court charged with five counts of murder after twin girls, their three-year-old sister, mother and grandmother were found dead in Perth.
