The quora thread has convinced me. I shall report back tomorrow.
EDIT- Couldn't get through the whole movie. I shut it off about a third of the way through. Its a horrible show. I think people only love it because they loved it as a teen.

I watched it the other week for the first time and thought it was hysterical, no nostalgia for me. You probably won't be convinced to go back but you probably should.
