Minecraft resolution on Nintendo Switch increased to 1080p when docked
Microsoft managed to get Minecraft to display at a full 1080p on Nintendo Switch when docked. The game received a new patch today, that, among other things, upped the resolution when docked from 720p. Microsoft actually said at launch that the decision to limit it to 720p wasn’t because of a lack of power in the Switch. It left the door open for a future upgrade, and it looks like Mojang figured it out.

Microsoft reveals Minecraft Store with virtual currency
Microsoft has announced a new storefront for selected user-made Minecraft content on mobile and Windows 10, which will go live alongside the game's 1.1 Discovery update this spring. Applicable only to the C++ "Bedrock Engine" editions of the game - that's to say, not to console or the original Java PC version - it lets approved creators and teams sell their Minecraft maps, skins and other assets using a virtual currency, Minecraft Coins, the idea being to boost the game's community of entrepreneurial artists while making it easier for players to track down the best Minecraft maps.

The Minecraft Generation
Jordan wanted to build an unpredictable trap. An 11-year-old in dark horn-rimmed glasses, Jordan is a devotee of Minecraft, the computer game in which you make things out of virtual blocks, from dizzying towers to entire cities. He recently read “The Maze Runner,” a sci-fi thriller in which teenagers live inside a booby-trapped labyrinth, and was inspired to concoct his own version — something he then would challenge his friends to navigate.

Game Theory: Minecraft's Ending, DECODED!
When Minecraft first came out, players were confused about one thing...THE ENDING. Minecraft's ending is a 10-minute scroll of philosophical text that everyone either wrote off completely or LOVES to HATE. This weird, philosophical conversation/poem/mumbo-jumbo confused everyone and seemed all wrong for Minecraft, a game that technically is ENDLESS! But looking at it more closely, the ending of Minecraft hides an amazing story about the game, the universe, and how awesome WE are as gamers.
