Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 is set to go into production next year, it has been reported. The third chapter in the Marvel franchise was plunged into uncertainty last year when director James Gunn was fired from the role due to a clash with distributors Disney. However in March he was reinstated as director, with The Hollywood Reporter claiming filming could begin in 2020.

The numbers are still coming in for “Avengers: Endgame,” as its unprecedented box office success topples records left and right. Since the Marvel Studios film first began rolling out in theaters on Wednesday, its global box office total has exploded to a mind-boggling estimate of $1.2 billion, a figure that could very well increase after Sunday’s official numbers come in. That includes a $350 million opening weekend in North America — nearly $100 million higher than the previous record set by “Avengers: Infinity War” — and a $330 million five-day opening in China.

Touted to be one of the biggest films of the year, ‘Avengers: Endgame’, has already smashed records as fans across the globe scramble to see the fourth and final installment in the franchise. While the film’s makers and actors are constantly reminding fans not to reveal the plot, it has already been revealed that viewers are getting very emotional while watching the Marvel film.

“Avengers: Endgame” is shattering even the most wildly optimistic predictions for its opening weekend. After opening the widest release in box office history with 4,662 screens, the Marvel film has earned a stunning $156.7 million opening day total, according to Disney’s estimates. That’s 31 percent higher than the previous record of $119.1 million made in 2015 by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

One exhibition source says that the amount of business that Avengers: Endgame is doing “is ridiculous.” Off of 9 AM shows alone today, big venues like the AMC 25 Empire in NYC is making $175K, NYC Lincoln Square counts $161K, Regal E-Walk has $78K, while the Edwards Irvine is seeing $145K. Industry estimates are seeing $130M-$140M for today including $60M. “I don’t see how the pic doesn’t get to $300M-plus,” said one rival distribution exec.

Ahead of the release of Avengers: Endgame, anti-spoiler mania has reached a point of frenzy, driven in part by the directors’ anti-spoiler statement, a seemingly actively malicious pro-spoiler movement, and an extremely popular social media hashtag urging people not to be dicks about it. Already having broken pre-sale ticket records, Avengers: Endgame has smashed through another milestone before it squashes all box office benchmarks starting Thursday, April 25: The Anthony and Joe Russo-directed feature is far and away the biggest marketing promotional campaign in Marvel Studios history at well over an estimated $200M.

There are now less than two weeks standing in between Marvel fans and the moment they've been waiting for. On April 16th, 11 days from now, Avengers: Endgame will finally be released in theaters for the world to see. However, the first screening of the film is happening a little bit sooner than that. Next Monday, the world premiere of Endgame will take place in Los Angeles and we will truly enter the final stretch. As things get closer, is looks like theaters are worrying that they may not have enough showings of the highly-anticipated blockbuster, and they're reportedly in the process of making some more room.

“One of the things I didn’t like about my costume is that the leather and everything else make it really hard if I have an itch on my back [laughs] and want to scratch it,” Ant-Man star Rudd told Inquirer. Worse, Rudd added, “I remember having to go around to people and have them punch me in the back really hard to get rid of an itch. With the kind of suit I had, I couldn’t do it. And it gets hot. We are sometimes shooting outside. The suit material doesn’t breathe very well.”

When “Captain Marvel” soared past the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office earlier this month, a lot of outlets and moviegoers celebrated the moment as a historic achievement for a Hollywood tentpole driven by a female character. Not much is official when it comes to Marvel Studios’ plans after Avengers: Endgame. The upcoming film, which is also the final part in the ongoing Infinity Saga storyline in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is expected to rake in unimaginable numbers once it opens on April 26 this month.

The stamp of a Marvel movie is the inclusion of Marvel Comics mastermind Stan Lee. Whether he's driving a bus, riding one, or standing where they pass by waiting to explain how one person can make difference -- the comics icon often offers memorable moments in movies based on characters he had a hand in creating. Prior to passing away in 2018, Lee had filmed several cameos for upcoming films. However, Avengers: Endgame looks like it will be the last.

It is an Untitled Marvel Studios Feature Film, with production to take place at Fox Studios Australia and other locations in Australia. The production is expected to spend more than $100 million in NSW and create up to 770 jobs for local screen professionals. This is a big-budget superhero film which the NSW Government has secured for Sydney through it’s Made in NSW fund and is the first Marvel Studios movie to be based in NSW.
