I am 3 days sober!!!!

Recently I have decided to get on the wagon and leave all the booze behind. Being a Pirate is great and all but I can no longer deny that I have been abusing my body on a regular basis. I have treated it more like a trash bin than a temple and I fear as I age that the medical and mental problems that will arise will be more than my doctor or I can handle. So for the past 3 days I have had no alcohol, no red meat, and no PRIVATE TIME to speak of.

I would like to apologize to all of you who looked up to me as a shinning example of humanity and a respected leader here at Snapzu. It was never my intention to fool any of you in any way. Yes I was an alcoholic pirate, even though I hid it very well, but know I am rectifying that situation and I hope, that over time, you can forgive me for fooling you all.

    Ehemm.... Just so you know I did not actually make it 3 days without drinking. It was actually like 16 hours. So lets get to it.
    There has been nothing in my previous post, throughout Snapzu, that would make anyone believe that I have given up on the cool crisp taste of a good rum or the heavy fullness of a dark beer. Not one post at all. Understand that it is April 1st. Understand that you are dealing with a real person, which means what I post is definitely the way I am in real life. It confuses some, I understand that. But my post had hints in it that I was just pissing in the wind for April Fools Day.

    Now some may think this is in bad taste, and I do not bear a grudge about that. I often, in real life, make crude inappropriate comments, movements, and gestures to the world around me. I have been called an ass more than once and I have been called worse a thousand times over. In my mind I cannot apologize for making this post. It was not meant to hurt or degrade anyone. This post was all about me making a little giggle here on Snapzu. For those of you who do not understand I will make it clear as of now. I, CrookedTale of Snapzu (and many other names on other sites) am a pirate and a human being. What you see is what you get. You have all seen my face and you should all know that I am genuine with all my good points and bad points. Take me as I am because that is who I am. The internet is a funny place. We can sit here and build a persona totally different from ourselves and even revel in the notoriety we receive from doing so. That is not me you are actually seeing me every day and through every post.

    If you have to pity or feel sorry for someone please direct your good wishes at my wife. She has to deal with me 24 hours a day. As for me I just got home from drinking with the boys. Tomorrow it will be drinking with my wife.
