A new place to call home; hello Snapzu

I'm a recent fugee from Reddit, a few days ago was my birthday and what do you know. I got myself an invite to your website. I've been lurking around for a few weeks. The Ellen Pao debacle had something to do with my migration, but in all honesty the community itself was driving me out months ago. Things were getting a bit out of hand and my user experience with that site became more of a daily grind rather than an engaging and exciting one (for the most part).

That being said, I decided to give both Voat and Snapzu a try and the choice was clear and obvious. The community here is exactly what I am looking for in terms of making sure that I have an enjoyable experience. Mature in approach and discourse, respectful and aiming to improve and provide positive input to discussions, not circle jerking for upvote karma points or down-voting due to a disagreement. As for Voat, it's still new, but the main difference is the maturity level of the users involved.

I look forward to contributing and enjoying it here, a place to take on as my new internet abode.

Cheers,

When I invite people to Snapzu, I describe it as a non-toxic alternative to reddit.

Welcome. In Kipling's words, I like to think of Snapzu as " a neater, sweeter maiden, in a cleaner, greener land" (On The Road to Mandalay)

Welcome aboard! Keep in mind Snapzu is nothing like the reddit community and we all want to keep friendly, open, and diverse in terms of opinions.
