Reddit refugee jumping in
I never did an official "hi" post, so here it is.
It's going to be an interesting ride. I can already feel how much smaller this place is compared to Reddit. That was something I really liked about Reddit... the massive userbase that really made you feel like you were talking to humanity on a bigger scale (for better or for worse). Maybe quality over quantity will win out... either way, I'm not going back to Reddit.
So... Hi waves a little lonely and betrayed feeling refugee here. Let's hope for good times ahead.

I don't feel like a refugee since I am keeping my reddit account, but I find myself using this place more than reddit now. I enjoy the discussions here which seem to be better than at reddit.
I am a fellow refugee. I hope this place has what reddit lacks.
It seems the community here is more oriented towards discussion than reddit which is really nice, so it is off to a good start!

Don't feel lonely! This is a welcoming place!
Don't feel betrayed either, at the end of they day reddit is a company with millions of users and not everything is a good or wise change. Don't take it personally; your interests and morals are different to theirs and really that is a good thing. You're a decent human being not a robot or a mindless drone-fan.
And they might redeem themselves (although once bitten, twice shy) and snapzu might make silly changes too but hopefully they learn from reddits mistakes and work harder to stay in touch with the community.

Thank you, and I know what you mean. It's just been an unsettling rollercoaster that feels like it stopped at a loss-loss situation. Hopefully Snapzu sees growth and perhaps game developers and large companies will start poking around this site as well.
yeh, I didn't even live on any defaults (and when twox became default there was a huge exodus) so I cant say any of the drama and changes really reached my part of reddit. I made the move cause honestly just got to the point where I was more wary of mentioning I used reddit and that's not right for me to be embarrassed to say I use a site I enjoy using because manchildren are giving it an outrageous reputation.
so here's to snapzu! may the manbabies never come here in large numbers.
I like the options in snapzu for company/business focused tribes. it makes much more sense to me as a community manager to have the tools like setting your tribe as mod posts only (but users can vote and comment) it's so much handier.
