TBH, I feel like lounge shouldn't be on the frontpage
The lounge is basically like the "general discussions" of Snapzu. I feel like this should be a more private sub where the USERS chat and share. Anything on the front page, IMO, should be content for everyone, including lurkers.
EDIT:
To add on, if we push Lounge off of the front page, we can get more higher quality interesting content on the front page.

We have just updated our algorithm for the front page list view, we hope these changes help.
Having a lounge or general discussion forum front and center might be a throwback to the old bulletin boards of the mid-2000s and earlier. Subject specific forums such as say a Star Trek fan forum might be dedicated to discussing Trek. However it's the off topic lounge section that would receive the most posting traffic and attention.
Ha, this is kind of the reason why I established /t/casualconversation. I was seeing a lot of the same posts of "Hi, I'm new!" So I decided to create a tribe dedicated to just talking and meeting new people, making friends, etc.

I agree. Mostly. I think very popular posts should still be able to hit the front. Lounge posts should just have an extra weight downward in the voting algorithm.
I like lounge-it just seems to be a highly active good starting place. Some of the tribes are still too dormant or non interactive for my tastes.
