I'm from Reddit, But You don't have to call me a Refugee...

While I'm not expecting myself to completely shun the reddit I'm really enjoying their stupidity because it's allowed me to find some new and different sites to share things with and comment on. So what's new around here, why have you not been hugged to death yet, lol...

One thing though, is there some link I'm not seeing that allows me to see the articles, stories, etc that I've commented on? Sometimes I forget what I've looked at and commented on and need to go back and see it.

I look forward to contributing and seeing just what Snapzu has to offer.

Welcome to the site. I haven't quit reddit either. I just find snapzu a great place to go when shit hits the fan over there (and of course randomly as well because the community here is awesome). The way to see your content is a little different than reddit. To see your own posts, go to the home button you see at the top. From there, make sure it is set to Following Feed. Click on show filters underneath the My Feeds section. There should be a Me filter and that will do the trick.

Good to know and just what I was needing. It's probably a good thing this isn't just a reddit clone too, I mean something different means something unique to explore, at least to me.

Exactly. And that is one of the things that has kept me from voat. Not only does it only seem to attract the FPH groups, but its literally the same exact thing. Sure it is "anti-censorship" but reddit was supposed to be the same thing. I think it will only be the same or worse since the hate groups got to it first. Snapzu is different. It functions on a different system that only includes some of the concepts for reddit. It has a completely different style of community and it is more member based rather than sub/tribe based. It truly feels like a different site.

Part of the reason I also like Hubski too is that it's similar but different. Although nowhere near as polished as what Snapzu looks.

Don't forget that you can also click on the Comments (after the Me toggle switch) to filter out everything but the comments.

The theme I've been learning here is that using filters appropriately will net you anything you're looking for. Thanks for the info.

Yep, the filters here are fantastic. Once you mastered your feed settings you can definitely get a lot out of them.

Yup it did take me a bit to get the hang of though. Maybe we should write a more comprehensive snapzu primer.

I think a video might be better.

Same, and I just happened to be looking for alternatives anyway, reddit has been a bit weird recently!

I am no expert and have no idea if true or not but the prevailing rumor is that due to their now corporate nature and their soliciting funds from hedge funds that they need to put their foot down on some stuff to please the money. Much like the AMA's feel like they're being bought and paid for by advertising movies and things. I think it's just part of the as things get older they quit being what you remember/wanted when you got there and start to resemble the things you left before them.

That does sound like what's happened, it was Fark before reddit, so it's not like it's not happened before!
