Needs more comments...

I really like Snapzu so far, but I feel like most of the comment section on the bigger tribes is lacking comments. They're getting votes, but no comments. Is it just me that sees this?

I don't mind it, to be honest. I have pretty bad social anxiety, even on the internet (which is kind of pathetic if I think about it for too long). When I used to go on Reddit, it took me almost 2 years before I ever commented on anything, despite having an account that whole time. Here I feel much more relaxed, and I enjoy commenting on threads because I know it's a much smaller community. I also like how I can recognize usernames in the threads, it really improves that feeling of intimacy that you wouldn't get from a larger site.

I've only been on the site for a few days myself, but have found it to be a very nice atmosphere for posting (snapping) and commenting.

No it's quite true. I've been noticing it as well (although I have only been here for just about a week now). I suppose with more members we will get more comments.

There's also the fact that there is no android app for Snapzu (please let me know if there is one!) and for me it means I can't really go easily when I'm commuting. I can't really go at work so I can only post comments before going to work, and when I'm home. There might be a lot of other people in the same situation.

They'll be releasing the API to mobile developers this year, so hopefully we'll have a few app options to choose from. Just have to be patient until then.

Comments will increase with members, it's important we all take a few minutes out of our day so spread the word, let some friends know, post an invite or three at your favorite forum looking for good people. Its all a process, and it's what all new platforms face. Unless we as a community come together and make this happen, no one else will its really hard to do alone and no service succeeds without its community behind it.

I tend to be more of a commenter than a content sharer, so I've been working to increase the commenting and promote discussion since I started here last year.

Edit: for example, I've posted over 300 comments to 13 snaps.

Give it some time. A year ago it was 1/4th of this. In a year it will be 4x.
