Man, it's a really great place honestly. The admins are craaaazy active from what I've seen and that's probably the most refreshing thing ever. They very obviously care and I love it! I hope you love the place too :)

a big part of that is because the community on Snapzu, for the most part, is quite small. if it were larger, it'd definitely go down the drain just like every other site. although I'd wager that having to be sent an access code definitely helps.

On reddit it was really easy to make an alt account if you just wanted to be a jerk to people. No email required, no downtime, just a random name and go.

But a smaller community is better even disregarding that barrier to entry. People from reddit are used to every little post getting 100 responses and that just isn't going to happen. And I hope circlejerks and pun threads aren't going to happen either (sorry if you like those, but they were frustrating when they happened in every top post).

The number of answers was actually a major downside of reddit... Unless you browsed /r/new or /r/top, your comments were almost guaranteed to get ignored. And if you hung out in /r/new, you had to deal with the majority of your replies ending on posts that never got traction.

It's fantastic isn't it! I just hope it doesn't change as the community grows :)

I love how the "transition" of newcomers has taken place so far. It's clear the old Snapzu community spirit will prevail; everyone has been so patient and welcoming, and newcomers have quickly embraced the community's values to help others join in, too.

Speaks volumes about the quality of the community that was built here.

I really enjoy how it's structured. Optimism is supported and bullying of any kind is punished. Its a great way to keep the cite clean. The levels are a lot of fun. It makes me want to stay active and keep reading and posting. In my opinion this is the new front page of the internet.
