Concertgoers filed lawsuit against bump stock company
Less than a week after the mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip some concertgoers are suing the maker of bump stocks. A bump stock is the device used by gunman Stephen Paddock which allows semi-automatic weapons to fired like fully automatic weapons. There are three plaintiffs named in the lawsuit filing on behalf of themselves and others similarly situated against Fire Solutions which is the company that makes and sells bump stocks.

Before the Las Vegas massacre began, a wounded Mandalay Bay hotel security guard called hotel officials to warn them about a gunman on the 32nd floor, an investigator told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday. But police did not arrive at the room where the guard had been shot until after Stephen Paddock had finished a 10-minute shooting rampage on a crowd gathered below for a country music festival, the investigation now shows.

MGM Resorts has agreed to preserve 25 categories of evidence, connected to a civil lawsuit filed by a California woman, who was shot three times on Oct. 1. Kurt Fowler and his wife, Trina, were celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary at a country music festival when the shooting started. Fowler, 41, knew he'd been hit in the ankle and couldn't run. He hid under the stage until the gunfire ended. "I knew my foot was completely useless," said Fowler, a firefighter from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and a father of three. He underwent surgery, spent nearly two weeks in the hospital and still may need another operation. He also will need rehabilitation and follow-up visits with a specialist.

Couple who survived Las Vegas shooting killed in car crash
A California couple who survived the mass shooting in Las Vegas this month died just two weeks later in a car crash a half-mile from their home. Dennis and Lorraine Carver were killed when their vehicle crashed into a metal gate outside their community in Riverside County, California, on Oct. 16 and burst into flames, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The accident was so close to home that their youngest daughter heard the collision.

"Show us the tapes." That was the message behind a protest on Sunday outside of Mandalay Bay. Demonstrators said they want answers about the 1 October shooting that claimed 58 lives. They demanded that the hotel and Las Vegas police release surveillance footage of the night of the massacre. "We want to know the truth. We're tired of the lies, we're tired of the murders, it's got to stop," one protester told 13 Action News. "They should release the video."
