What is your favorite JRPG?
Tell us what your favorite JRPG is!
For me it's a toss up between Final Fantasy IX and The World Ends With You. The former gets a lot of love from me because of its classic gameplay and a bit of nostalgia. The latter for its style, unique concept (loved the duel-screen battles) and pretty engaging story.

I have always been a big fan of the Dragon Quest series, and Dragon Quest VII is probably my favorite out of all of them. Something about the characters that made the game so magical.
The Mother series is also a favorite series of mine. The mix between the modern settings, bitter sweet stories, and all out wackiness keeps me coming back to them.
And then there's the shin megami tensei series. Which one's my favorite? I can't decide.
Here's hoping the VII and VIII 3DS ports come to the US!
Persona 4 Golden
Persona 4 Golden was my very first JRPG. I played it on my PS Vita, and it immediately hooked me. I had always been rather averse to anime, just because of the perceptions I had of those who were really into it. The game not only opened me up to JRPGs, but also paved the way to learning more about Japanese culture and media.
Oh man, I can't believe I forgot P4. One of my favorite games of all time. Most games I play are solely for entertainment. Persona 4 actually made me learn something about myself by the end of it.
I've always been reluctant to go back and play prequels, but a wicked game like that....I'm about midway through P3P, and I'm absolutely loving it!
Are you excited for Persona 5? I've been absolutely craving that one!

Legend of Dragoon.
I used to sit in front of the tv for hours watching my big brother play through the entire game. Probably my favorite gaming memory, now over a decade later I still enjoy playing through it and getting an overwhelming sense of nostalgia.
Oh man, now that's a name I haven't heard in forever!

Chrono Trigger for me. The story, the characters they all fit perfectly IMO. I loveee it.
I'll be that guy and say Final Fantasy 7.
