A journalist has invited any Isis terrorist to a sword duel for a £50,000 reward on his own head after seven people were killed in the attack on London Bridge. Andre Walker, a New York Observer columnist, posted a photo of himself on the Westminster terrace by the Thames, holding what appeared to be a sword with both hands.

Overnight, heavy clashes erupted in the predominately Sunni city of Marawi in the southern Philippines after security forces and ISIS sleeper cells battled it out for hours on end. 2 soldiers and 1 police officer were killed in the initial skirmishes although no civilians were injured by crossfire, a military source told Al-Masdar News. Subsequently, the Philippine Army withdrew from most of the city on Tuesday morning, thereby making it the first city in southeast Asia to come under Islamic State control.

The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) called for an “all-out war” on the West during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan which begins Friday evening, just days after it claimed the Manchester suicide-bomb attack that left 22 people dead.

At least 106 civilians, including 42 children, have been killed in a series of air strikes by the US-led coalition on an ISIL-held town in eastern Syria, according to a monitoring group. The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) says the deaths resulted from air strikes targeted Al Mayadeen in the province of Deir Az Zor.

The coalition statement late on Thursday says the coalition hit the pro-Syrian government forces after warning shots, a show of force and apparent Russian attempts failed to dissuade those troops from moving into the "de-conflicted area."

The head of ISIS in Afghanistan has been killed in a raid carried out by Afghan and US special forces, the country's president has said. Abdul Hasib died during an attack by 50 US special forces and 40 Afghan commandos overnight on April 26, President Ashraf Ghani said. His statement came after US Captain Jeff Davis said Hasib was believed to have died in the raid which also claimed the lives of two Army Rangers.

The Islamic State has urged its adherents to buy weapons from gun shows in the United States to take advantage of gun control laws. “The acquisition of firearms can be very simple depending on one’s geographical location,” says a new piece in Rumiyah, ISIS's propaganda magazine, the Washington Post reports. “In most U.S. states, anything from a single-shot shotgun all the way up to a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle can be purchased at showrooms or through online sales — by way of private dealers — with no background checks, and without requiring either an ID or a gun license.”

ISIS has called upon Muslims in France to "kill candidates" and "burn down polling stations" as the country prepares to vote in the second round of the presidential election this weekend. An article appearing in the French edition of the terror group’s monthly propaganda magazine “Rumiyah” addresses all Muslims in France stating: “Don't forget your duty as a Muslim. Choose a candidate to kill & polling station to burn.”

Cops have revealed Islamist extremists plan to launch at least two new terror attacks in London in the wake of two foiled attacks in the capital last week. Officers are reportedly staking out suspects involved in the “active” plots – which are believed to be inspired by ISIS or Al Qaeda. Sources told the Sunday Times it is understood the plotters are not connected to the events of Thursday, when armed police swooped on an alleged knifeman in Westminster and also arrested six people in raids linked to a family home in Willesden, northwest London.

Three Isis fighters were reportedly killed by wild boars on Iraqi farmland controlled by the group.  The militants had been trying to remove the animals near Kirkuk in the al-Rashad region when the boars went on a “rampage”, Iraqi News reports.  One source claimed other Isis members “took revenge on the pigs” after the fatal attack occurred. 

Online commenters have praised an anonymous hacker's efforts to disrupt the Islamic State militant group's social media accounts by filling them with gay porn. The hacker, who goes by the name WachulaGhost, started targeting the Isis accounts after being deeply affected by the notorious shooting at the Orlando Pulse nightclub in Florida in 2016, in which 49 people were killed and 53 wounded. Isis later claimed responsibility for the massacre, carried out by US citizen Omar Mateen.

The Lebanese Army killed a Daesh (ISIS) emir (or prince) and arrested another 10 terrorists during a stealth operation in Arsal, Lebanon according to the Daily Star. The Lebanese Army confirmed the operation which killed Hasan al-Mallees, a Syrian Daesh emir who had taken part in the 2014 clashes with the Lebanese Army in Arsal. The army also ID’ed the ten “dangerous terrorists” as Syrians Syrians Fawzi al-Sahli, Alaaeddine Al-Halabi, Ahmad Miman, Abdullah Hesian and Mohammad al-Sahli.

A leader of the Islamic State-linked Abu Sayyaf group has been killed in a shootout with Philippine soldiers on the island of Bohol, where the military is hunting down insurgents planning to kidnap tourists, the military and officials said on Saturday. Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Brigadier General Restituto Padilla said "one lawless element" was killed in the clash but he could not give the man's identity.

The United States has announced that a secret military ground operation killed an Islamic State operative seen as a close associate of leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and linked to an attack on a Turkish nightclub that left 39 people dead. Abdurakhmon Uzbeki, who was believed to be from Uzbekistan, was killed during the ground assault near Mayadin, Syria, on 6 April, said Colonel John Thomas, a spokesman for the US military’s central command.

European department for security and information (DESI) has said that they have received information that the leader of ISIS militant group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was arrested by Syrian and Russian joint forces. The media office of DESI secretary general said in a press release on Tuesday that this came after Baghdadi was pushed to leave Mosul after Iraqi forces launched an operation to retake the key city from ISIS terrorists.

The number of militants killed in an attack by the largest non-nuclear weapon ever used in combat by the U.S. military has risen to 94, an Afghan official said Saturday. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor in Nangarhar, said the number of Islamic State group dead was up from the 36 reported a day earlier. A Ministry of Defense official had said Friday the number of dead could rise as officials assessed the bomb site in Achin district.

The attack on a tunnel complex in remote eastern Afghanistan with the largest non-nuclear weapon ever used in combat by the U.S. military left 36 Islamic State group fighters dead and no civilian casualties, Afghanistan officials said Friday. The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that several ISIS-Khorasan caves and ammunition caches were destroyed by the giant bomb, which terrified villagers on both sides of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border with its "earsplitting blast."
