Nicholas Rasmussen, who directs the National Counterterrorism Center, said the Islamic State may be losing ground in Iraq and Syria but its ability to strike abroad, including in the U.S., “has not thus far been significantly diminished.”

    ISIS executes its members who fled Sharqat battle using a bulldozer

    Members of ISIS terrorist group fled Sharqt battle were trampled to death by a bulldozer in the city of Mosul, al-Sumaria News reported Monday. The news website reported that ISIS executed seven of its members fled the battles in Sharqat district in northern Iraq by running them down with a giant bulldozer. The victims had their hands and legs chained before they were executed in a public square in the city of Mosul.

    ISIS is known for their brutal and homophobic killings such as throwing men off buildings and stoning gay men to death. One author however has decided to fight back by writing his own gay erotica novel featuring ISIS soldiers. Gay Star News reports that the ‘gay jihaderotica’ novel entitled ISIS: A Love Story is written by Abu Salaam, his pen name, and the story follows the relationship of two young jihadis, Ali and Majnun, during the Syrian Civil War which the author followed closely.

    A 16-year-old Yazidi girl named Yasmin was sick of being raped by ISIS fighters. So she doused herself in gasoline and lit a match, knowing that if she survived that the militants would no longer find her desirable. “Now she looks like a zombie, and children cry when they see her,” said Dr. Jan Kizilhan, a psychology professor and trauma expert who has been working to bring women and children traumatized by ISIS to Germany for treatment. “It is so difficult to see what the fire did to her.”

"The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition," Amaq said in a statement.

    A British sniper took out a feared ISIS executioner as he prepared to murder several hostages by shooting a fuel tank on his back and incinerating him. The SAS marksman fired a single round from his Barrett .50 calibre sniper rifle at the terrorist, who was about to use a flame thrower to kill 12, from 1,500m. The bullet hit the flame thrower's fuel tank and caused a huge fireball, also killing three other ISIS members who were ready to film the execution.

    ISIS loses all territory along Syria-Turkey border

    Turkish troops and allied Syrian rebels expelled the extremist Islamic State in Iraq and Syria group from the last strip of territory it controlled along the Syrian-Turkish border on Sunday, effectively sealing the extremists' self-styled caliphate off from the outside world, Turkey's state-run news agency reported. Also on Sunday, Syrian pro-government forces backed by airstrikes launched a wide offensive in the northern city of Aleppo, capturing areas they lost last month and besieging rebel-held neighbourhoods, state media and opposition activists said.

The loss to IS would cut off key supply lines to the group in Syria and Iraq. It comes after Turkey and pro-Turkish rebels launched an offensive last month to clear the border of militants. Separately, Syrian state forces recaptured parts of Aleppo recently lost to rebels, reimposing the siege of the rebel-held east of the city.

    Austria reveals almost 300 potential terrorists are now in the country
