Also, adding to the list could appear as a non-mandatory step when you start a new tribe, so the site's actively promoting cross linking, rather than just leaving it to the chiefs' own initiative.
I feel like a clear connection between tribes will really help the site feel more like a sprawling infrastructure to users, and prevent the feeling of insularity that might exist on the tribe view screen.
