Weekly Humira was a game changer for me. It was a pain to get my insurance to cover it (I'm American) but once they did it's kept me essentially in remission ever since.
It drives me nuts that doctors don't recognize fatigue as a side effect of IBD. I bring it up at every appointment and they just check my iron levels and tell me I'm fine. But I'm 34 years old and need a daily nap!
I'm in America too. I'm hoping my insurance isn't too much of a pain about it. I'm allergic to 5-ASAs and Imuran so I can't really add those on with the Humira. I'm glad it works so well for you!
I wish that more did! I've only had one doctor check my iron levels when I said I was tired and I was low that time. I just wish I knew why I was so tired the rest of the time.
