I don't really have any issues with emulation (provided the game is no longer sold).
For me it is a matter of convenience. I have a few of the older generation consoles, but I find that it is sometimes easier to play the games in an emulator instead of pulling the desired console and game out of storage each time I have the desire to play them.

I sorta have the same thing as long as the game is no longer sold but mainly use emulation for rare and obscure games like Action 52.
