Designer Sci-Fi: Ferrari Spaceship Takes Luxury Sky-High
Given how far away we still are from personal spacecraft, perhaps it’s not surprising that most design concepts for extra-terrestrial ships haven’t evolved much in the last couple decades. Concerned more with practicalities (and budget constraints) than aesthetics, even NASA has stuck to the same-old same-old when it comes to spacecraft design, but a fun vision of the future from Ferrari’s design director gives us some hope.

Most expensive car sold at auction fetches $34.65M
A 52-year-old Ferrari just smashed the record for the most expensive car ever sold at auction. The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, with a somewhat dark past, was just sold by Bonhams for $34.65 million. That blew away the previous record, held by a Mercedes-Benz racer that sold last summer for $31.6 million including auction fees.

The extremely rare 1954 375 Ferrari Plus Grand Prix Roadster 0384AM, now restored, was auctioned off at the famed Goodwood Festival of Speed near London. It fetched £9.6 million, the equivalent of $16,336,691. "It was one of the most exciting things," Cincinnati attorney Zach Gottesman said Friday from London. "It's the most crazy thing I've ever seen."
