A teenage girl invented something to help her dog deal with separation anxiety
Brooke is a 14-year-old girl who has a dog named Kayla. Kayla was rescued by Brooke’s family from a shelter. Kayla was showing signs of separation anxiety when she was sometimes left at home as the family’s schedules got busier. Brooke wanted to help Kayla deal with separation anxiety so she came up with a brilliant idea about a pet product that will let her connect and communicate with Kayla anytime, anywhere. Mobile showers for the homeless
It is the brainchild of Doenice Sandoval, who was awarded $100,000 in funding as a finalist in Google's 'Global Impact Challenge'. Ms Sandoval, a marketing executive, says she wants to ensure the city's homeless population of more than 7,000 gain access to basic necessities in a safe and welcoming environment.

A millionaire Chinese businessman has bulldozed the wooden huts and muddy roads where he grew up - and built luxury homes for the people who lived there. Xiong Shuihua was born in Xiongkeng village in the city of Xinyu, southern China and said that his family had always been well looked after and supported by residents in his childhood. So when the 54-year-old ended up making millions in the steel industry he decided to repay the favour - for free.
