    Yet it’s running, right, so you can switch to it? If you can, then you can bring up the Windows Task Manager, either by right-clicking in the System Tray at the bottom of the screen or by pressing Control, Alt and DEL. Find the Facebook Messenger process, right click it and hit the “Open File Location” command, which should take you to the directory with an uninstall application for Facebook Messenger.

    Alternately, maybe it’s not installed. Maybe it’s popping up in the form of browser notifications. What’s your browser of choice?

      Unfortunately, I just found out the problem. You cannot remove it. It's the latest annoying update from Facebook. There was a time when bringing up Windows Task Manager worked (as in that YouTube video), but no longer.

        Not even by blocking the notifications at the browser? Or signing out?
