The Official Disney Tribe Movie Rewatch Thread - Suggestions

Introduction

So, it's been suggested by CaptainMarvel in our suggestion thread that we have a weekly thread for "rewatching" a Disney or Disney-licensed (i.e. Touchstone, Studio Ghibli, etc.) movie. The moderation team wants to hear what you, the people, have as ideas for what we could watch! So, list off some of your ideas you have for us! I'll be providing a Wikipedia link below to give you some ideas.

Guidelines

Guideline #1

The movie must be a Disney or Disney-licensed film. Films produced by Studio Ghibli (whose films are licensed by Disney for American dub and release although not owned by Disney), Pixar, and Disney's other studios, such as Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures, are also acceptable. Examples include Frozen, Monsters Inc., Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, or My Neighbor Totoro. Lucasfilm movies, although distributed by other studios, ARE ACCEPTABLE. This includes Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Guideline #2

Even though Disney, even under guise of Touchstone, rarely makes an R-rated film, we prefer that your suggestions be kept in the PG-13 and below range. This is NOT a requirement. R-rated submissions will still be accepted, but we like to keep it family friendly.

==================

I'll start us off with some ideas:

  • Spirited Away
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
  • Tron
  • WALL·E
  • Hercules

And if you need ideas, visit this Wikipedia page.

Had to take down the other snap because I couldn't sticky it, but I got one response from the7gend, which I will repost here.

    - Pocahontas

    - Oliver & Company

    - Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (All Aboard the Feels Train)

    - The Fox and the Hound

    - A Goofy Movie

We've got a decent list, I think if we create a post and make a gallery full of movie posters we could all vote on them. How long should we leave voting open? How should we set up the schedule? how can we all watch together? Anyone have any ideas?

Well to start us off with a some, we can take a few ideas from the top number of votes on what movies to do first. Maybe we can vote for about five days to a week. We'll just go in an order. There's four of the administration team, four weeks in a month, so one of us will just go every month, roughly. Links can be posted to places to legally rent the film (since we don't condone piracy) for a cheap amount, (but you never know what amount of Disney VHSs people still have). I'm not sure of any other way to have people watch the film (and if anyone has any ideas, please let me know)

I'd honestly watch Toy Story again. One of my teachers played it at the end of the year last year when there was basically nothing to do as everything was taught and there was no final. I'd forgotten how good it was!

I'm going to suggest Fox and the Hound and Brother Bear! Those are two of my favorite that are also lesser known, in my opinion, and that I haven't seen in forever.
