    A man has been accused of hiding at least two cameras in his Airbnb rental in the well-to-do coastal town of Longboat Key, Florida, between Tampa and Sarasota. A couple visiting from Indiana discovered the cameras—one in the bedroom and one in the living room—on September 1, just a day after arriving, and reported them to police. The husband, Derek Starnes, told a local ABC television affiliate that he is sure the bedroom camera recorded him naked.

    Knife-wielding, bat-swinging skeleton robs Nanaimo beer store

    Nanaimo beer store clerks were left traumatized but uninjured after being robbed at knife point by a man wearing a skeleton mask and swinging a baseball bat. The robbery happened Saturday at 10:40 p.m. RCMP say the masked man entered the Harewood Arms Beer and Wine store waving a knife. He then started banging a bat on the counter and demanding the clerks hand over the money from the till.

    A toy traffic cone has been found in the lung of a man 40 years after he inhaled it. It was originally thought that the unnamed 47-year-old man from Preston might have cancer. He was referred to a respiratory clinic after complaining of coughing up yellow mucus and feeling unwell for over a year. Medics initially thought the patient, who had also recently suffered pneumonia and had been a long-term smoker, had a tumour after an x-ray showed a mass in a lung.

    A Minnesota teenager was held captive for 29 days, repeatedly raped, locked in a closet and bound by zip ties before she escaped and swam across a lake to safety, according to criminal charges filed Thursday against three men. At one point, the 15-year-old girl was told to get into a duffel bag and was loaded in the back of a truck after police came knocking on the door of the mobile home where she was being held, the complaint said. She was moved in the bag to another location.

After police were alerted of the video, animal control responded to the home Sunday, FOX8 reported. Authorities said the dog’s fur was burned in the incident but it did not suffer serious injuries.
