Cross-stitch murals bring a traditionally domestic craft out into the world.
Ana Martins, the 22-year-old Portuguese artist and graphic embroiderer fell in love with textiles while working on her bachelor’s degree in graphic design, and now she works to “deconstruct, decontextualize and transform a traditional technique into a modern graphic, connecting cultures and generations.”

Showing my creative side - some of my finished pieces.
I've been stitching for quite some time - my earliest memory going back to when I was about 6 or 7. Love the craft (it's one of many I participate in!), as it relaxes me and keeps my creative side busy. I create custom patterns, find ones I love on etsy and Spritestitch, or find kits in my local craft store. I make for myself, and often for friends.
