Who is your favorite civ leader?

Personally I love China the great generals are very helpful in war and the Chu-ko-nu's special ability is really powerful.

Can't go past Venice. I can balance paying everyone to declare war on each other, keep a stable economy and bombard my capital with production all through trade routes.

I love playing as Venice in single player for all the reasons you said but in multiplayer I usually get destroyed because of the one city limit :/

I stay right away from multiplayer. I think there's a lot f potential heartache there.

You should join a no-quit group on steam or just play with friends.

I usually play with 3/4 friends and we add a few immortal IA to stomp early on.

Steam may be the way to go as none of my friends are interested in civs :c Thanks for the heads up c:

Heads up, most on them play on a multiplayer patch, which ban a few things and balance others. Look for a recent filfyrobot video on youtube, he explains both the group rules and the patch.

I like to spam Great Scientists so... Babylon. I really like England as a more "balanced" civ, can do great with the 3 tiles range crossbow, op naval movement and the spy is always a nice addition.

Babylon is great but my friends and I have banned it from our multiplayer games because of how op they can be. England is one of the best civs imo just because of how good the ship of the line is.

Ship of line is a nice upgrade on the already really strong frigate.

I definitely don't play as much as I used to. But I always fall back on Arabai. I just love playing them.

I tend to play as Oda Nobunaga, but one of my recent randomized games gave me Dido. I enjoyed playing that game much more than I expected, actually, so Japan and Carthage may be tied as my favorites now.

Hope I'm not yo late :)

I love morocco! When I first got civ 5 I played as them and fucking wrecked. I enjoy building a nice economy and science early and then, with the help of other civs, waging war on the others

Morroco has a desert start bias and the potential for some really insane Petra tiles.

I dig the Shoshone because of the land grabbing abilities. You just start with so much land which I find very advantageous. Especially when founding new cities near other cities. It's my favorite benefit of any civ.

Don't forget the pathfinder ! Great upgrade on the scout.

Actually it is, yeah! Thanks for reminding me. It's been a little while since my last game, I gotta jump back in!
