[Question] Renoucing

If you renounce a tribe, does that free up one slot of your 5 and you can create another tribe?

Currently renouncing a tribe does not automatically credit back that additional slot for claiming another tribe. We don't want the tribe system to be exploited/abused by those who claim and renounce tribes like they were playing cards. These are communities that should be taken care of and not dropped at the sight of a "better" tribe. We are however considering a mechanism that will replenish claim credits over time so those who release a tribe will be able to claim another tribe sometime down the road. When we release this update, I will include it in the release documentation.

Thanks for clarifying this. I think it would be useful to add this to the Tribes FAQ. I would have been a little bit more careful with creating/renouncing Tribes had I known this.

Fair enough I will update our documentation to include this information.

I don't think so. I'm meant to have 9 slots. I renounced 2 and still can't create additional ones. I'm not sure if it's a bug.

    Yup!

This means you can find a worthy chief for your tribe among your members and go on growing another tribe.
