What are you reading?

My preference in fiction leans largely toward science fiction although I occasionally delve into fantasy, mystery and drama if the writer is good enough. Now that I'm doing most of my reading on my tablet (let's hear it for epub and mobi formats!) I'm always on the lookout for new material. What's good in publishing these days? The written word isn't dead yet if I have anything to say about it.
