Breaking Bad: 10 years on, TV is still in Walter White's shadow
en years ago, Breaking Bad made its TV debut. A comic drama starring the dad from Malcolm in the Middle, it answered the question middle-aged men had asked of themselves for generations: what would happen if I quit my boring job and became an outlaw? The answer, it appeared, involved drugs, mobile homes and being stranded in the desert in your pants.

(Breaking Bad) Walt & Jesse || TIME
*1080p for Best Quality* MAJOR SPOILERS INCLUDED FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES OF BREAKING BAD This is my entry for contest I've been involved with for a while. My group's April category was focused on enemy/rivaly relationships, so I chose one of my favorite dynamics in all of television.... Walt & Jesse. It's amazing how this video is 5 1/2 minutes long but I still feel like I barely scratched the surface of these two characters.

'Better Call Saul' creators on the 'purposely shitty' opening title sequence
It's not often that you hear TV producers proudly describe an aspect of their show as looking terrible — and using much less polite language than that — but then it's not often you have TV producers both as talented and idiosyncratic as "Better Call Saul" creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. The aspect in question is the show's main title sequence (embedded above), featuring various images from Jimmy McGill's future life as Saul Goodman...

'Better Call Saul's' Jonathan Banks: Mike Is "The Dark Thread" to 'Breaking Bad'
The Better Call Saul fan favorite finally stepped out of the parking booth last week, with his sad backstory told in a series of flashbacks — and a monologue on par with his famous "Half Measures" speech from Breaking Bad. Mike admitted to his daughter in law (Kerry Condon) he was responsible for his son Matt's death, and that he killed Matt's murderers. The episode was a big departure for Saul, with fans noting it almost felt more like an episode of Breaking Bad.

‘Breaking Bad’ creator: Stop tossing pizza on 'Walt's' house
"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan has a message for fans tossing pizzas on the roof of Walter White's house: tread lightly. In a podcast interview about his new spin-off show "Better Call Saul," Gilligan called out the jerks who have been flinging pies onto the Albuquerque, N.M., house that served as the iconic meth cook's pad on the show, irking the couple who lives there.

“Better Call Saul” humanizes the smooth-talking “Breaking Bad” sidekick in a surprisingly solid spin-off
I’m surprised how much I liked “Better Call Saul.” We might as well start there. “Better Call Saul” isn’t exactly supposed to be good. It’s a spin-off of a beloved television show, “Breaking Bad”; and unlike “Friends” or “Cheers,” which both spawned spinoffs, “Breaking Bad” isn’t a feel-good sitcom with a happy ending. The five seasons of the original AMC show were a slow, brutal transformation story, from Walter White the man to Heisenberg the monster...

Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul just released an app called Yo, Bitch
The ouroboros of internet culture has found a way to eat itself all over. Aaron Paul, best known as Tobey Marshall in 2014's video game adaptation Need for Speed, had at one point played a character in the AMC sitcom Breaking Bad. On that show he had a catchphrase that would put the studio audience in stitches: "Yo, bitch!" At the same time, recall the app Yo, a messaging app where you send people the word "Yo."
