Tall order. Hyperion Cantos is an amazing series. Just finished re-reading the first book a few days back.
If you haven't read it yet, you might check out the Silo Series. More of a post-apocalyptic feel, but a really rich and interesting world.
The Silo Series is exactly what I wanted.
