How do you get over writer's block?

I'm stuck and I can't find a way out of it.

What works for you?

Kurt Lewin's immaculately crafted vector psychology could suggest one method: commit heavily to something demanding more skills and more diligent effort, at stakes that're even higher. Then you'll avoid that as you seek the easiest path, like a stone surely sinking in moving water.

I have a list of subjects/ideas I want to write about in plain sight and then I start writing on a number of topics at first and see what sticks. Once I get into something, I tend to keep working at it until I'm finished.

A nice walk in a secluded forest is always a great refresher for the mind.

I do what I call a 'brain dump'. I open a word document and just write whatever is in my head. Without worrying about spelling, grammar, typos, etc. It usually brings up stuff I had no idea I had in my head. I just carry on until I get some kind of aha! moment.

There's a technique where you draw a big circle on the page, put your main topic into that circle. Create circles around this main idea and fill in ideas that you’re going to develop and link. It just loosens the mind up. Pretty helpful -- at least for me.
