I know a lot of people who expend a lot of emotional energy over driving. Sure, feel free to be irritated about those who don't use turn signals and those who don't move over from the fast lane, but man - the tantrums and fits I've seen people throw over totally non-threatening scenarios is immense. Sure, if every other car moved out of your way, you might get to your destination two minutes faster, but is it really worth getting SO angry over?

My way of dealing with my own irritation is giving other drivers the benefit of the doubt (whilst keeping myself safe of course) - if they're driving a bit like an idiot, I just assume they're about to shit their pants. It helps me empathize more.

As someone who, at least once in his life, drove like an ass because I was about to pee in my pants, thank you! ;-)
