What's the appeal of that car?

I hear the handling. It's weight is so low, and it's power is so high for that weight, that it's very.. zippy. You can go into curves at higher speed and control the vehicle at that higher speed. The top speed isn't as good as other high end cars, but when you can handle like a Caterham, it only matters on straightaways.

Here's some info about them that I've always loved: They were banned from participating in established races all over the world in the 60s because they were "too fast", consistently beating the competition handily. Occasionally they're allowed to race again, like in 2002 they were permitted to race in the Nürburgring 24 hour race. They beat other racers in their class so bad that they were banned again. They placed 11th overall out of 200 racers, and that was beating out some competition that had MUCH much higher budget ceilings and experience for the race. If I remember correctly, their car was stock as well.

Power to weight ratio, simplicity, going back to a byegone era.
