Waiting 45 seconds for my shower water to heat up to my preferred liking (as hot as possible without burning me). Sometimes I don't have that kind of time.
I wish I had the money to build a house without a water heater. It's hugely inefficient and a waste of energy. Instead, they've figured out how to set up gas or microwave emitters that will heat the water before it reaches the spigot to the desired temperature. Voilà, you never run out of hot water!
