I'm assuming this donation is legal, the donator just has a really weird set of rules he abides by in life. If this is the case, I wouldn't chabge my lifestyle at all for while, like 5 years, I would continue to work hard and spend according to my income bracket I am currently in. However during this time, I would put all my own earned money away in investments while using the donated money to pay for everything. After my own earned money reaches a point where I can live comfortably off the interest (Putting away an entire salary a month can add up quickly if you have a decent job) I would start spending a little more casually. If it reaches a point where the donar removes gge money, I've still set myself really nicely if not for life. :)
