I have no answers but I did want to piggyback a couple of questions I had:

My Snapzu homepage is more like /r/all on reddit. Is there a page that only shows my subscribed tribes?

Also, how do I view my own comment history other than scrolling through my notification list?

edit: Also, how does following other users work? It turns out I'm following 17 other users, but I never explicitly clicked a "follow" button. What determines this?

There is a column on the right of the main content column. I never saw it at first because my browser wasn't wide enough. You can zoom out if you can't see it. It lets you change the feed. There are all sorts of options in that column if you scroll down.

If you click on your home button right near the top then you'll get a black bar below your banner. Click on the word Tribes and you'll get stuff from your subscribed tribes.

Everyone seems to get those when they start. Not sure why. They all seem to be very experienced users. Maybe it helps get you into the culture. Maybe so they can help acclimatize you. It's kind of like reddit meets twitter.

It's some of the highest rated users who post in the areas of interest you stated on sign up. It's so your feed starts off with a good flow of relevant content.
