I've always wanted to do some urban exploration. Like the kind where you explore abandoned buildings. I got a book one called Access All Areas and it been a favorite read for quite some time, I've also noticed that I tend to collect equipment for this (light backpacks, flashlights, lockpicks, etc [though I do know some frown on lockpicks] ), if I see something on sale that looks like i could be useful I'll get it. Never gone though, maybe one day.
If it could be any place in the world, I'd pick the catacombs in Paris. If I need to be local there are quite a few abandoned theaters in my city that look cool.
Believe me: Do it. It is an incredible experience, thrilling and fun. Pick a place, plan for it (depending on where you're going, you might need some special equipment like a breathing mask) and do it man.

Lot's of places have hidden underground catacombs. That's a great idea!
