    Maybe I don't understand UV enough, but that sounds like a thoroughly underwhelming power.

      So it would seem! I was trying to find a "power" that would not be obvious to find a use for.

      Can't superman see (or generate?) UV light?

        I don't know, I don't really care for Superman.

        It's not a hero/villain thing, but I guess you could make a living testing sunglasses that claim to block UV light.
