At lot of people I know will say that occasionally, but I know one person who will respond to any comment during a casual conversation with "Same." At first, I thought, "Okay, so we probably just have similar interests," but it started to get annoying after a while. So I decided one day to say something truly outrageous, something that I really figured they wouldn't agree with me on. But still, they responded as usual, though their eyes were a little wide. And so I asked, "Do you really feel the same?" They then cracked, no longer caring about pretending not to be totally freaked out, and I've seen a marked decrease in how often they say "same".
