My six year old has a stutter where he will start a sentence with "uh-uh-uh" over and over until his words line up. I've got it down to about five before he speaks but it is annoying. I feel a bit less bothered these days it used to make me climb the walls. We try to remind him that if he reaches two "uh"s he has to stop and think about his words then start again. We will get there eventually.

Locally though everyone ends sentences with "but" and I sit there waiting for them to finish though that was the end. Blurgh. Like "Lah" if you're Singaporean
