Not super crazy, but I knew the American girl who died on the plane that crashed into the Alps a few months back. We were friends in high school until she transferred to a different one. It's just crazy to think how our lives are connected like that. She was just taking a European trip with her mom and ended up getting on the plane where the pilot decided he wanted to crash it into a mountain.

I had a lot of friends that knew her pretty well and stayed in touch with her over the years. It was just insane to think that an act of violence like that, one where the whole world is mourning it, could hit so close to home.
