I'm /u/douglas77, the Tribe Chief. While I have studied physics many years ago, I nowadays work in IT, so all I know about micro-controllers I found out the hard way (releasing the magic smoke). I'm playing with Arduinos and related stuff for 3 years now, usually working on multiple projects at once, ranging from useless stuff (transmitting data via cheap 433MHz-modules just to see if I can do it) to things I use daily (IR-control for HTPC/beamer/Wii, motion-triggered solar-powered LED-lighting for my garage).

Personally, I would be happy to not just see Arduino-related news in this tribe, but also interesting questions, posts about cool stuff you have done, useful tips, etc. -- but I trust that the visitors will decide what content they want to see, using upvotes (and if need be, downvotes).
