[Discussion] Little Witch Academia 2: The Enchanted Parade

I watched it yesterday and not only was I pleasantly surprised that it was a full hour long instead of the 30 minutes I had expected, I got instantly hooked just by seeing the little witches again. It was a nice follow-up to the first movie and I still hope they will do another one, maybe again funded by Kickstarter. The animation quality was great, and as much as I love Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer, I still hope that one day Trigger will do a full original show like this. I wouldn't say no to a Little Witch TV show either.

The story was cute and even though I noticed some plot inconsistencies (like the ancient sealed away evil being battles by six troublemaker witches who aren't even that good with the magic while the certainly more capable teacher rides her broom on the sideline and acts like a host and cheerleader) I didn't mind too much because it had the charm of a kids film where things like this are certainly more acceptable. Much like the first one it didn't take itself too seriously which is a good thing.

A solid 8/10 for me.
