Definitely not as mature a take on the franchise as the OVA is. The surgical wire scenes were visually stunning, though the characters appeared to be abnormally stupid (why would people stay and get hurt with that much forward notice that the train was approaching?) and I'm not really a fan of the shounen direction this series seems to be aiming for. I would've liked to at least see some actual surgery :/

Voice actor threw me off a bit (narrator is the real voice of Black Jack), beginning could've been done a bit better, boy just standing there and no one helping him and bike isn't a good excuse.

I enjoyed this episode but the absence of Tezuka and Dezaki is really noticeable.
